Winter collection nucoeans 2026

FLUFFY, never furry.

Because “that's how it's always been done” has never been a good enough reason for us.

“Why don't you just use leather? It's only a by-product anyway. Or Wool? Sheep need to be sheared.”

We've heard it too many times.

And sure, leather and wool would make our lives easier. The footwear industry has used them forever. Everyone knows how to work with them.

But if we keep doing things the way they've always been done, how is anything supposed to change?

Leather isn't just a leftover. It's a valuable part of the animal industry. And wool? Many sheep only need regular shearing because we've bred them to grow more wool than they naturally shed. Wild sheep manage just fine without us taking their coats.

so here is what we are doing

Vegan suede for that soft, velvety look. Organic cotton-based fluff for all the cosy, without the wool. Recycled materials wherever possible. And our signature colourful soles, giving 300g of ocean waste another life in every pair

SHEEP DON'T NEED A FASHION INDUSTRY.

YOUR COAT LOOKS BETTER ON YOU.

“Sheep need to be sheared anyway,” right?

Well, yes. Many domestic sheep do. But that's largely because humans have selectively bred them to produce more wool than they naturally shed. Wild sheep don't need us to give them a haircut. They've lived perfectly fine way before humans decided to intervene with their coat.

So wool isn't simply a harmless leftover either. It's part of an animal farming industry that raises questions about animal welfare and contributes to environmental impacts, including methane emissions.

We think sheep look pretty good in their own wool. And if we can make shoes just as fluffy without taking it from them, why wouldn't we?

what's cotton fluff?

We wanted our winter shoes to be warm and fluffy, just without using wool.

So we chose a cotton-based fluff made from 80% organic cotton. It's soft, cosy and doesn't come from sheep.

Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers, which helps reduce the impact on soil and surrounding ecosystems. And unlike wool, our fluff doesn't rely on sheep farming, which produces methane emissions.

We think that's a pretty good reason to try something different.

None of these choices happened by accident.

We've spent a lot of time finding materials that feel good, look good and reflect what we believe in.

Because we're not here to make just another pair of winter shoes. We're here to show there's another way to make them.

And if that means questioning a few industry standards along the way? Good.

Ocean waste, yes. Animal products, no.
